EYP DAY AT OAO

Teambuilding. Committee work. General Assembly. This was the programme of the European Youth Parliament Day at OAO on 19 September 2024. The topics such as:  

·         Online school stress: With as much as 54 per cent of young people reporting that distance learning negatively affected both their physical and mental health, what can the EU do to help its adolescents in these unprecedented times? (ENVI)

·         A Meal Too Expensive: The European Union's food production system is responsible for around 30% of its greenhouse gas emissions due to energy mismanagement and land waste. How can the EU lessen these environmental impacts while continuing to ensure food security for all citizens? (AGRI) or

·         Housing Crisis: As the housing prices in the EU rose 5.5% during last year, more and more people find themselves being driven out of the cities or living in deplorable conditions. Keeping in mind its sustainability pledges, what actions should the EU take to maintain access to affordable, social housing? (EMPL)

were discussed and attacked in teams of JAC students with an aim to select students who will represent our school at Regional Selection Conference of European Youth Parliament in Česká Třebová (29 November - 1 December 2024).
